Beginning!

OK, so here we go! 

I am beginning this blog to share my point of view on my very favorite way to pass time!  I am a bookworm.  Just ask my husband!  I have always loved to read.  In school, my best friend would have to shake my shoulder to bring me out of whatever world I was in, in my book.  I would not hear the bell to end study hall! 

My all-time favorite book?  The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodges-Burnett.  I love this book. I read it first as a child and have read it many times since. The characters at Misselthwaite Manor come alive literally as does the garden they discover and restore! Mary changes from a sullen, crabby child to a friendly, outgoing friend of Colin, the sickly, sheltered boy. As the garden grows and blooms, so do the children. Colin gains health and strength from the garden's growth and sunshine. I loved this book as a child and still love it! I am anxious to read it to my granddaughters when they are ready!

I read a lot of christian fiction as well as many other genre's.  I am a huge Karen Kingsbury fan who is anxiously awaiting her next book in the Bailey Flanagin series!  At this moment I am reading Relentless (Dominion Trilogy #1), by Robin Parrish.
