Robin hit a home run on this book. Other reviews have not been so positive and I think that this is a very different kind of book. If you like other realm type books this will be a good one for you. The basic story is about a man, Collin who gets ready for work one morning and on his way, something happens. He sees a man who looks identical to him on the street. But wait, is it really just someone who looks like him or is it really him? The guy seems to "be" him. He is headed toward his workplace and is wearing what Collin thought he was wearing down to the special bracelet from his own father! He follows the guy and the rest of the story tells the tale of what actually happened to Collin, or is it Grant? The book reads well and kept me on the edge of my seat with its twists and turns! I intend to go on to the next book in the series!
My Shelf - To Yours
This blog is my way of keeping track of what I have read. Wish I had started doing this years ago! Did you ever wish you had a list of all the books you read over the years?! Have you ever checked a book out of the library only to discover several pages/chapters in that you "know this story"?

The Last Romantics, Ruth Harris
I recently read the Ruth Harris book, The Last Romantics. It is the epic story of a love affair between an up and coming Paris fashion designer, Nichole Redon and a novelist/reporter from the US , McKim Hendricks.
The story follows Nichole and Kim through life as they meet quite by chance, on the street in London , just before he is to return to the United States and marry the woman of his father’s expectations. It is a once, in a lifetime, love at first site, meeting. They are both quite taken with each other.
Both characters are artistic in their own right and become famous, Nichole for her dress designs that take women into a very modern sleek silhouette, and Kim for his novels and eventually for his reporting on the war.
The story follows the ebbs and flows of their love story and the ups and downs of their lives.
I found the story hard to read at times due to my own personal convictions regarding marriage, and affairs. I wanted to project those convictions on the main characters and get a feel good, happily ever after into the story. While there are many happier times in the story, Mrs. Harris does not leave out the tragedy that so often comes in life and shapes the people her characters are.
If you love epic romances, this is one you will enjoy. I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for my review.

Beginning!
OK, so here we go!
I am beginning this blog to share my point of view on my very favorite way to pass time! I am a bookworm. Just ask my husband! I have always loved to read. In school, my best friend would have to shake my shoulder to bring me out of whatever world I was in, in my book. I would not hear the bell to end study hall!
My all-time favorite book? The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodges-Burnett. I love this book. I read it first as a child and have read it many times since. The characters at Misselthwaite Manor come alive literally as does the garden they discover and restore! Mary changes from a sullen, crabby child to a friendly, outgoing friend of Colin, the sickly, sheltered boy. As the garden grows and blooms, so do the children. Colin gains health and strength from the garden's growth and sunshine. I loved this book as a child and still love it! I am anxious to read it to my granddaughters when they are ready!
I read a lot of christian fiction as well as many other genre's. I am a huge Karen Kingsbury fan who is anxiously awaiting her next book in the Bailey Flanagin series! At this moment I am reading Relentless (Dominion Trilogy #1), by Robin Parrish.
I will be posting reviews of books that I receive free, in exchange for a reviews. Join me on this journey and let me know your opinion on the books too! Let me know what you are reading!
